Attempting to do an lj-cut... If it doesn't work, I am deeply sorry to my FList for the clogging.

Anyway, a shipping meme. Nicked it from miz_tith

"One True Pairing" Ship: Ron/Hermione all the way!
"One True Threesome" Ship: I don't really have one, but um... maybe... err... I suppose the trio (if Ron is in the middle-- yes, I'm that crazy with keeping H/Hr away)
"Canon" Ship: Again, R/Hr....
"Not quite canon but should be" ship: George/Luna. On its way to becoming my second OTP.

"If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship: Harry/Hermione. It just sends a really poor message about love in my opinion, and about male and female friendship. And it often comes with plenty of hate for other characters, especially my beloved Weasleys.
"You are one sick bastard" ship: Snape or Lucius with any of the trio or Ginny or Neville or basically any student.
"I'm one sick bastard" ship: Ehm... I don't have any consistent squicky ship, but I once did read a Charlie/Bill fic that was actually kind of good.
"I dabble a little" 'Ship: Neville/Ginny.
"It's like a car crash" Ship: Draco/Hermione. It's dreadful and makes you wonder if someone was drunk.
"Tickles my fancy but not sold quite yet" 'Ship: Remus/Sirius. I don't know. I've read some good ones. Tickles my fancy, but I need more convincing.
"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: I can't think of one! I like to think of George/Luna making some canon sense, sorta...
"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship: Harry/Ginny. Sorry. I don't hate it. Good for the both of them that they found love. I'm not going to be upset if it happens in book 7, or if Harry is moaning over missing Ginny. But I don't really get any feelings out of it.

"When all is said and done" 'Ship: Ron/Hermione
"Guilty Pleasure" ship: I don't feel guilty about any of my ships. And I don't think I should. I'm a Canon!whore all the way, and the ones that aren't canon, at least they're not offensive... or illegal.
"I can't believe I read it and liked it" ship: Aunt Marge/Colonel Fubster... Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if they've thought of every ship possible.
"Favorite "Older/Younger" ship: None. Creeps me out. Unless you count the fact that Hermione is like half a year older than Ron... no? :P
"My first I could never abandon you" ship: Ron/Hermione

Favorite Devotionship: Don't really understand what that means, but I'll answer my OTP... because it's hard to go wrong with the trees!
Favorite Nevermetship: Umbridge/Uncle Vernon. Theirloveissocanon!
Favorite Pervyship: It's not pervy, but I like it when it's written that way... R/Hr. (Okay, I realize it's getting a little redundant, but bear with me, okay?)
Favorite DominanceBattleShip?: Basilisk/Harry. (I'll leave it to you to figure out if I'm serious or not.)

Harry/Ginny. Sorry. I don't hate it. Good for the both of them that they found love. I'm not going to be upset if it happens in book 7, or if Harry is moaning over missing Ginny. But I don't really get any feelings out of it.

Oh, you totally sum up my feelings for it! :D It's fine, but it's BLAND. As you said, no feelings!

It really annoys me when people (mostly H/Hrs :P) assume that because we ship R/Hr, we'll automatically ship H/G ... *mutter*

I need to steal this meme. *goes to do it*
Yes, it is annoying, indeed!

And it's so odd, because I sort of ship OBHWF– I know that Ginny/Harry is going to happen and I don't mind it, and I like the idea of one huge, connected family... But I'll only read OBHWF fics if they are about Ron and Hermione. Like, I really like the fluffy Weasley Christmas fics, and H/G can be mentioned, but it has to not be focused on them. I don't know how to explain it at all...

R/Hr makes me get all hyper or happy or gooey, basically I get passionate about whatever happens. But H/G... I just can't make myself be anything but apathetic about it.

Ooh, I look forward to reading your answers. Some of these ship categories are fascinating...
"Not quite canon but should be" ship: George/Luna. On its way to becoming my second OTP.

Oooh, I'm intrigued. Care to direct me to any of your favorite fics? *bats eyelashes* It's Saturday and I'd dearly love not to be grading papers.
Ooh! Yes, fantastic! George/Luna will intrigue you muchly if you let it. *cackles*

Elemental, by ladytory is definitely a worthy distraction from grading those papers. You can find it at Checkmated.com or the lj community georgeluna. (Woe– I do not yet know how to make a community clickable, with that little symbol next to it. I am technologically slow.)

The thing about George/Luna is that there are not many fics out there on it– but when I read the few ones there are, and thought about the ship, it instantly clicked. It just seems perfect to me. Being a twin must be wonderful, but tough sometimes. George needs someone who is extremely observant of who he is, not just as one of those joking Weasley twins. And he seems someone who just fits Luna, someone who she needs.
you make the link to a community the same as you do to a user- it changes the little pic next to the name to the community link

Ohh and I would also really, really suggest you both read Love and Levity by Ozma on checkmated and anything by cicatrixstories...who has the most kick ass F/G/L layout ever!!
Ron/Hermione = way too much love. My biggest OTP, like, EVER. No lie. They have so much passion, it never gets dull. I don't care if anyone says otherwise.

George/Luna? Sounds interesting... but I'm already shipping George/Katie, lol.
R/Hr is teh shizz. True dat, true dat.

Okay, snapping out of it now! *clears throat* So... George/Katie, huh? Psh, Luna could take her. No, I'm kidding! While G/L is like my 2nd OTP, I know it's not going to happen and people don't bash either characters because they too know it's not going to happen... So I don't get all worked up about people not shipping it... Like I do with other ships. *eyes Harmonians*
"Makes no canon sense but why the hell not" 'Ship: I can't think of one! I like to think of George/Luna making some canon sense, sorta...

I'm curious about this one, because there's even an LJ comm devoted to George/Luna and I hardly see her paired up with any other Weasley except Ron. Did George ... talk to her or something in OoTP, maybe? I missed it ...?

"Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" 'Ship: Harry/Ginny. Sorry. I don't hate it. Good for the both of them that they found love. I'm not going to be upset if it happens in book 7, or if Harry is moaning over missing Ginny. But I don't really get any feelings out of it.

Soooo totally agree. Plus the fact that I don't care for Ginny might have something to do with it.

"It's like a car crash" Ship: Draco/Hermione. It's dreadful and makes you wonder if someone was drunk.

OMG, ew. But at least with D/Hr, I can laugh because it so ridiculous and implausible and Hermione is ALWAYS OOC in those fics. It's the H/Hr and Snape/Hermione shippers that really get my goat.

And R/Hr can NEVER be redundant!
Lol. I don't even know if he talked to her in OotP at all; bloody observant, aren't I, about my ship?

Well, no, it really doesn't make any canon sense at all. I'd like to think it does, though... Probably a bad pairing choice for that category, but, eh.... Wishful thinking, huh?

I think the main reason I like George/Luna is that they fit in that George is a twin and I think he really needs someone like Luna who is so incredibly observant and honest, someone who'll see him as his own person. And Luna's almost in another world half of the time; somehow that seems like it'd suit George nicely.

I'm starting to think it's a very hard ship to explain. I guess in my mind they just click. Never going to happen though... But it doesn't really go against any established couples, so I can still call myself a canon!ho, I hope. :D

Ahh, yes, D/Hr. Just the name "Leather and Libraries" implies OOC-ness to me. It seems so... how to describe it... over the top. "Forbidden love!" kind of stuff, which appeals to the kind of romance-novel/dangerous!love crowd. And not only is Hermione OOC (waaay OOC, I might add), so is Malfoy. I cannot even estimate how many times I've seen a summary something along the lines of "Its bCK 2 skool at Hogwarts. So mUch has changd– is DRaco devloping feelinGs for the MUdblood– No? CouLD it BE?"

It is kind of funny, I suppose. And I have to say, yes, H/Hr gets my goat the most too. It rankles me! (I've not had much exposure to Snape/Hermione, thank God.)
